Fresh Food Central is my largest project to date; an online content and community site chock full of information on fruit and vegetables, growing information, and much more.

A year in development, Fresh Food Central is my largest project to date. Based in PHP and MySQL project, this site aims to educate people about fruit and vegetables, including facts and information, links, photos, nutritional advice, features, forums, and much more.

During the last few months of my previous job as Produce Manager for a national supermarket chain, realising how little people (in particular young people) know or care about fruit and vegetables and healthy eating, and realising how much knowledge I had to divulge from doing the job I was, I decided to start developing a site to help share some of that information, and in turn educate people.

After lengthy development, the site is now live, and racking up an average of a hundred hits a day. I see this as a long term project, not a quick flash in the pan, and it has been growing steadily since it launched in June 2006.
